Looks like I will finally be able to get some time to come back to my projects …

Just added another blog which will have some implementations on recursion….basic stuff really!!!
Here it is : Algorithm_Is_Fun!!!

I have finally completed my SCJP certification. 175 minutes of boredom and total frustration! I was lucky to get a good system, most of the other folks had problems. The questions appeared to be kinda easy, but yes, very confusing! Generics were everywhere and threads questions were good too. I was becoming pretty impatient after about 2 hours! And I was not even thinking much! Towards the end I was infact thinking about buying a new voucher…but all went ok! He he he!!
Now I am totally free and all my extra time would be directed towards finishing the iProcess client and the Hawk Monitor. So help me God….

I have suddenly become ominously busy. SIT issues with an inhouse product, and certification exams. I have planning the latter for almost a year now, and I guess its finally time that I finish it. With the financial year coming to a close and onset of goals evaluation, it has become more of a necessity….. Hence my extra work will be temporarily put on hold…

The iProcess engine eats almost all of my free time. Every time I believe I have learnt something, I go back and find something newer and more interesting! It has so much to offer,a never ending maze of possibilities. So heres this blog devoted to the biggest workflow time-eater of all times…the iProcess engine.

The draft version for the extended iProcess client is finally here. I am really excited at the prospects of it all. It will have all the Standard implementations that come with the rich SSO API, plus it will have reliable and fast iProcess Engine Administration that the standard API lacks. Routine tasks like iProcess processes restart, monitoring of connectivity, procedure import/export, requeing and closing of erroed out cases, audit trails of cases, everything can be done without knowing anything about the iProcess internals or having to use putty based ssh connections, remembering the paths and alias names, and worst, killing the pid’s with a ps -ef|grep swserver !!!
The draft for the same can be found here
Hope to finish this sometime around July…God and my PM help!!!

There are another three items lined up. And each of them are really eating on my official and unofficial work times!!! I have seen people use the iProcess Engine client and really believe that such a client can be easily developed via SSO calls. Admininstering the iProcess Engine is another activity that can be made simpler. A tool that can be used by anyone with little or no knowledge of the Server workings. Activities like Procedure Management, Heap size checks and proactive corrections, iProcess Engine process monitors, etc. all can be very conveniently put down in one single application.
Another application that was recently brought to my attention is TIBCO HAWK monitoring console. An application based on HAWK AMI protocol that would provide customized control (including rule-sets) for all the engines. I have already started digging the AMI docs and work should hopefully begin coming month.
The third and last item for the coming months is an XPDL generator that would be easy to use (well most are anyways..Enhydra Java WE!!) . Like say direct import and export to iProcess Modeller, syntaxt reconciliation, ease of assigning form addressees, etc. I was fascincated with the TIBCO Business Studio. The referrence docs were just saying that the modeller procs can be exported to XPDL and configured with any Workflow Editor and the next second, they just came up with their own…..

Starting Jan-2007, I have decided to start working again on many of the things I had to put off for several foolish reasons. One of these is the “Messaging Backbone in Java for IPC”. It will be a miniature information bus that will allow Java programs to communicate with each other. RMI and concrete implementations of JMS is already there and they do serve the purpose really well. I however, wanted to build something that would not involve Object serialization and be much faster. Well, that seems to be a big statement..lets wait and see if I can achieve that.
I have already finished 20% of the work and hopefully the remaining should be done by July-2007. I will post more information on the work as I proceed in my MessagingEngine blog. But for the time being, it will remain private for all purposes.
